NDC Overview
New Distribution Capability (NDC) is an initiative introduced by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to modernise and enhance the distribution of airline products by leveraging technology standards. It enables airlines to offer their products and services through various channels, including direct and third-party platforms, in a more personalised and efficient manner.
NDC integration allows airlines to provide richer and more detailed content about their products, such as ancillary services, fare families, and personalised offers, beyond traditional booking systems. This initiative can revolutionise the way airline products are retailed and involves collaboration between airlines, travel agencies, technology providers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement standards for more seamless and efficient distribution processes.
